Conferences, orientation and trips organized by International Cultural Exchange Services (ICES) allow exchange students to learn and develop their communication skills with students from different countries.
Normally, the Welcome Orientation is held upon arrival for ICES exchange students from all over the world. However, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the event was delayed until January in a form of a fun-packed trip to Las Vegas. ICES Cambodia Generation 2 students were encouraged to join this special trip which took place in one of the most famous cities in the United States, Las Vegas.
The ICES trip to Las Vegas was a great opportunity for Amra Chamroeun, Chealeang Ear, and RathReacheany Samat as they reunited after six months of their departure.

On the first day of the trip, students spent a full day sightseeing in Las Vega, Nevada. The journey was a bit tiring however, they were ready for more adventure. The next day after breakfast, all ICES students gathered around for training, which they all enjoyed very much. They even got a chance to hear inspirational life story of an astronaut.
On the same day afternoon, the students visited one of the most popular tourist destinations called “Madam Tussauds Wax Museum”, which contains more than 200 wax figures of well-known celebrities and famous people. They were amazed by the dancing waters of the Bellagio Fountain enhanced with music and colorful lights.

The fun continued the next day, students captured beautiful scenery from the top of the Grand Canyon. This national park is one of the most explored areas in the world, with fossil records, as well as rich geography and archeological history. After a full day of touring, they had a luscious dinner together, along with a spectacular view of the colorful lights on Fremont Street.
Although the program lasted only four days, the trip was full of fun, excitement, and good memories that will not be forgotten by ICES students.
